As battery manufacturing ramps up across Europe and North America, the spotlight is shifting to the materials behind the performance — and the companies delivering them reliably at scale. That’s where Avocet Electrofoils comes in.

Specialising in high-performance electrodeposited copper foil, Avocet Electrofoils is bridging the gap between global supply and regional demand. With our UK-based distribution hub and strategic manufacturing partnerships, we’re enabling battery makers to scale faster and with greater confidence.

Who Is Avocet Electrofoils?

Avocet Electrofoils is part of Avocet Materials Group, a UK-based network of companies focused on supplying specialist materials to the battery and energy sectors. We work closely with Yihao New Materials Co, whose copper foil is already in mass production and approved by top-tier cell manufacturers. From our Cheshire facility, we serve customers across Europe and the US, ensuring short lead times and full supply chain traceability.

But we’re not stopping there. In 2024, we launched a joint venture with Yihao and Tex Technology Inc. — European Electrofoils — with the mission to establish a copper foil manufacturing plant in Europe by 2028.

Why It Matters

Copper foil is a critical component in lithium-ion battery anodes. It must be ultra-thin, high purity, and mechanically reliable — all while being available at the scale gigafactories demand. By localising production and supporting supply chain resilience, Avocet Electrofoils is helping manufacturers reduce risk, cut carbon, and improve responsiveness.

Whether you’re building batteries for EVs, aerospace, or grid storage, your copper foil supplier matters. And with long-term capacity expansion plans (20KT today, 40KT by 2031), we’re ready to grow with you.

Looking Ahead

From technical performance to regional supply stability, Avocet Electrofoils is built to support the next era of battery production. If you’re a manufacturer, materials buyer, or investor in the energy transition — this is a partnership worth exploring.
